Jim Morgan, Commander
Jim Morgan is a United States Army combat veteran and dedicated advocate for veterans, their families, and the communities they call home. He currently serves as Commander of VFW Post 7720, continuing his commitment to service through one of the nation’s oldest and most respected veterans organizations.
Jim also serves as Commander of American Legion Post 84 in Cornelia, and has held leadership positions with DAV Chapter 15, including Current Senior Vice Commander and Past Commander. He additionally serves as Captain of the Grant-Reeves Veterans Honor Guard, participating in military honors and ceremonies throughout the North Georgia community.
Beyond his organizational leadership, Jim is the host of “Veterans Voices” on WCHM 94.3 FM, a program dedicated to veterans, the issues affecting them, and the people, organizations, and resources available to help. Through the program, Jim works to connect veterans with information and assistance while giving a voice to the veteran community.
Jim is also a driving force behind the Veterans Response Team (VRT), a collaborative effort bringing local veterans organizations together to respond to veterans and their families when they need help. The initiative reflects his belief that veterans should never have to navigate difficult circumstances alone.
His approach to veteran service is simple: service doesn't end when the uniform comes off. Whether through VFW, the American Legion, DAV, the Honor Guard, radio, or community outreach, Jim remains committed to ensuring that veterans receive the respect, assistance, and camaraderie they have earned.

Post 7720 Community Service Report
Reporting your service hours helps our Post, Department, and National VFW demonstrate the true impact of veterans serving veterans and our communities. Every hour you give strengthens our mission, builds support, and ensures that the work we do is recognized at every level.

Please come out and join us for day filled with activity and fun! At 1:30pm, we will hold an 80th Anniversary Ceremony with a special presentation to our current members.
